Suspect in Admirals Sound Larcenies, Vandalism Caught
A routine domestic disturbance call in Admirals Sound resulted in the recovery of stolen property and a possible vandalism suspect. Neighborhood Patrol officers Kleeman and Cooper responded to Woods Bay Lane last night around 9:00 pm to intervene in an argument between a mother and her 17-year-old son who had fled the scene. An argument ensued after the mother turned off her son’s cell phone. Voluntarily, the mother described some items in her garage and in her son’s room that she believed to be stolen. Officers Kleeman and Cooper recovered the merchandise, cross-checked them against larceny reports, and matched them to a neighbor across the street and another Admirals Sound resident. Two GPS systems and two golf clubs were recovered which will result in two counts of Class D felony charges. Also at the residence were cans of black spray paint the mother used for her crafts at home. Officers believe the suspect is also responsible for the crude graffiti that has plagued Admirals Sound for the last two years. IMPD investigators are working with the Neighborhood Patrol officers and expect a warrant to be issued in the next few days. More details to come.
